Admin Council Minutes August 30, 2001
This was an informal dinner meeting to kick off the WVC 2001-2002 season. We
began with introductions of officers and managers.
* Jeff Jansen reported our current balance is $7,069.99, and we expect
approximately $14,000 from National in September or October.
* Robin Schuckmann's current newsletter issue is on technical marketing. She
is looking for articles on international translation for the next issue.
* Dave Grassman has provided the chapter with an In Focus projector. Thank
you, Dave!
* The membership directory will be out in October.
* Rachel (in absentia) presented the following reports: Competition
information: The call for entries has been mailed and the call for judges
has been broadcast twice. Here is the deadline information:
10/1  judging applications due
10/15 competition entries due
10/27 first judging meeting
12/1 consensus judging meeting
The competition was also listed in the July/ August Intercom and should also
be listed in the Sept./Oct. Intercom.
Chapter Achievement Award: Rachel has received clarification from Ellen
Fenwick and the newsletter competition manager about our questions. She'll
provide further details later.
* We recognized two volunteers for the month: Jon Harvey and Christy
Graunke. Jon coordinated the purchase of an approximately two foot by five
foot fabric chapter sign for publicity purposes. And Christy was applauded
for all her excellent publicity work. Both received $25 certificates from
Amazon.
* The next Admin Council meeting will be Sept. 27th.
