Agenda: Treasurer's report: (RP) Money market: 1,500 Checking: 20.81 Total: $1,820.81 Obligations due next month: Northwest Neighborhood Cultural Center (NNCC): $101.25 Total available: Deposits (150 paid) Programs (MS, JR): Sept 12th meeting: "garden party: $11pp. proposed. Next Program meeting & Board meeting will be on Sept 12th due to financial situation and National. Keynote will be Thea, president of society. She will also be heading the panel. Meeting food provisions were questioned. Mallory Hotel (15th & Yamhill) banquet literature reviewed. The buffet is $15.95pp, banquet style. Options: Thai chicken skewers, meatballs, meat carving station. Something more diner-like? $1,000 budget proposed, voted and approved. This allows a pp cost is $10-15. Notification sent out on website. The only expense is food. People can bring in their own wine for a corking fee. RH: message concerning the next program/board meeting was sent on the announcement email list this week. Council and students get the council rate: $10. RH: We are considering new locations for program meetings due to the cost at the Greenwood. Cost at Greenwood has been between $500-1,000 per meeting. MS: Tentative reservation (cancelable) made at PCC Capitol career center on 185th and Walker Rd. Complaints have been lodged about the location of the Greenwood. Parking fee $2 at the PCC OMSI location. At the Mallory Hotel: Garden room is small but could accommodate us at our current attendance level. Cost would be $600 per meeting. PCC OMSI auditorium: price not given. $112.50 for PCC Capitol. Intel was another location under consideration. Tigard Water building was also considered. Location concerns: room cost, catering cost, location convenience, parking, seating. RH: Preference is for the PCC OMSI location. Unlike previous years, we may have to charge admission for the Christmas meeting this year. MS: Christmas party date: Searching for a reasonable date and location. Considering moving to PDF format Jan 2004 due to ease download & archiving, hardcopy reproduction. Most other chapters do PDF. KN: This needs to be a council agreement. RH to KC: do a proposal for this. KC: Considering new location of meeting: Beaverton Red Robin or nearby at Bvtn Transit Center.
