2007-2008 WVC Competition Entry Submission Forms and Instructions
The Willamette Valley Chapter of the Society for
Technical Communication will accept entries to its Technical Publications,
Online Communication, and Technical Art Competitions until Friday,
October 12, 2007. Instructions for submitting entries are
provided below.
The Call for Entries (Complete Instructions and
Required Forms)
The complete rules, instructions, and required
forms for submitting an entry to one or more of the 2007-2008 Willamette
Valley Chapter competitions are provided in the Call for Entries,
which can be downloaded using the links below. The form can be downloaded
in either Word or PDF format. Both documents contain interactive
versions of the Entry Form and Entry Description sheet that must
accompany every entry. You can enter your information into these
forms while viewing them in Word or Acrobat Reader, and then print
and sign them, or you can print the blank forms and fill them out
by hand. All forms must be submitted in hardcopy with the entries
being submitted.

Competition Categories
The WVC Competitions accept entries in all of
the categories defined by the international STC competitions. For
descriptions of these categories, see the WVC Competition
Categories page.
Preparing Your Entry
Before submitting an entry, please download and
review the Call for Entries, which contains the required forms that
must accompany every entry and complete instructions for preparing
and submitting entries.
For each entry you want to submit, complete an
Entry Submission Form and Description of the Competition Entry,
following the detailed directions in the Call for Entries. You will
need three copies of the completed Entry Submission Form and seven
copies of the completed Description of the Competition Entry for
each entry.
Your entry must include four clean copies of the
work being submitted for consideration. (If you are submitting a
work to multiple competitions, you must submit four copies of the
work and the required forms and fees to each competition.) Attach
one copy of the Description of the Competition Entry to each of
the four copies of the work. Please attach the forms to each entry
with a paper clip or binder clip. Do not use staples.
Staple one of the three remaining copies of the
Description of the Competition Entry to each of the three copies
of the Entry Submission Form. Save one of these stapled packets
for your records and attach the other two packets to your entry
fee check (see below). Note: One of the Entry Submission
Forms submitted should be the signed original. The second may be
a copy
Submission Fees, Address, and Deadline
The fee for each entry is determined by the STC
membership status (or student status) of the contributors who created
the entry, according to the following schedule (lowest rate applies):

All contributors are students: $35

At least one contributor belongs to the Willamette
Valley or Mid-Valley STC Chapter: $75
-
At least one contributor is an STC member:
$125
-
No contributors belong to STC (any chapter):
$150
Please make checks payable to STCWVC
for the appropriate amount. You may submit a single check as payment
for multiple entries.
To submit your entry, send the four copies of
the work (each with an Entry Description attached), the two Entry
Form/Entry Description packets, and your entry fee payment to:

entry is received.
