Information for judges

Call for judges

It’s time to put your technical communications skills to work as an STC Competitions judge. Evaluate some of the top technical talent in the Willamette Valley as they compete in the annual Willamette Valley Chapter Competition for Technical Art, Technical Publications, and Online Documentation.

The success of the Willamette Valley Chapter's competition depends upon the participation of judges to evaluate entries and provide feedback to entrants.

Top 5 reasons to be a judge:

  • Develop new contacts
  • See how you compare with others in your field
  • Evaluate critical elements used in technical communication
  • See what industry leaders are doing
  • Get new ideas for projects

Judging is a great opportunity not only to see what is being produced in our field, but also to team up with fellow professionals to provide feedback and input. It is a team effort to help encourage quality in our profession.

Judge application form

If you are interested in being a competition judge, please complete the Application for judges (Word format, 26KB) form and send it to Christy Graunke at christy@puppetpub.com or mail it to the address listed on the form.
