Letter from the Editor

By Robin Schuckmann

We have some fun-filled articles on editing, design, online, and software tools for you in this issue of the Willamette Galley. Check out some of these tools in our new Reviews section. This new section is meant to be for book, software, or equipment reviews that are pertinent to technical communication. So, please feel free to send us your reviews for publication in the newsletter.

We have a great issue for you coming up next quarter on Technical Marketing. How does technical marketing fit into the world of technical writing? What are the differences between the two? How is the market changing in this area? What skills are needed to enter into this field? Share your experiences with others by submitting an article for our next edition of the Willamette Galley. Article submission deadline is August 15. Are you ready to volunteer?

There's always room for your article too! Do you have an article that you'd like to publish in the Willamette Galley newsletter? Or would you like to contribute, but aren't sure what to write about? Volunteers are always welcome! Whether you're a student just getting into technical communications, a technical communicator new to region, or a senior member with lots of experience, there are always volunteer opportunities available. Please feel free to contact Robin Schuckmann at print.media@verizon.net.
