President's Message

I can't believe we are already into November (or will be by the time you read this)! Time really does go by fast when you have a lot of tasks to do.

Employment Manager Kellie Pierce is working on getting more submissions to our jobs list from area companies and employment agencies. If your company has openings and you know you haven't seen them listed in any announcement from the jobs list, please have your human resources department contact Kellie at piercekellie@hotmail.com.

Our Holiday Social event is coming up! Mark your calendars for Thursday, December 4, 2003. The event will be held at the Mallory Hotel (our September meeting location) in downtown Portland. Registration is available at www.stcwvc.org. Our RSVP deadline is Wednesday, November 26, so that we have an accurate count for catering.

Local competition judges are hard at work judging the 60 entries we received in this year's competition. The awards banquet will be held on February 19, 2004, so mark your calendars to attend and view the competition entries on display. More information about the banquet will be available in January 2004.

We always have volunteer opportunities available in the chapter. Please let Mairi-Kate Campbell, our Volunteer Coordinator, know if you are interested in volunteering at volunteer@stcwvc.org.

The Chapter Business Meeting is held the 4th Thursday of every month, except for November/December. The next meeting is Thursday, December 11. The elected officers, committee managers, and SIG managers attend this meeting to keep the chapter on track and running smoothly.
