NOVEMBER Writing For The Web November 10-11, 9 a.m. ó 5 p.m. PST Writing for the Web is a 2-day class that explores the transition from
writing for print to writing for online presentation such as help systems
and web pages. Participants will learn differences between print and online
media, how to design online information, how to develop an online writing style,
how to make navigation work and how to use illustrations, sound, animation and other
elements. Registration fee: $225. Beginning/Intermediate and Advanced Framemaker 5.5 November 13-17, 9 a.m. ó 5 p.m. PST You will learn a variety of functions, such as Working with Documents,
Editing Text, Using Templates, Creating and Modifying Character and Paragraph
Formats, Using Graphic Frames, Anchored Frames and Text Runaround, Footnotes,
Document Formatting using Master Pages, Text Flows, Text Insets and Cross-References,

improve the speed and accuracy of their writing. For example, youíll learn
how to "chunk" information into easily understandable segments,
use lists and headings to simplify and organize technical content and use
concise sentences for increased clarity and comprehension. Overview of Flash With Live Motion November 27, 9 a.m. ó 5 p.m. PST This workshop will give a brief overview of Flash as a tool for creating
vector-based graphics, motion, sound and interactivity in a scaleable fashion.
Demonstrations will focus on creating real-world animations and still graphics.
The course also touches on including sound and interactive elements. Registration
Fee: $200 Basics of XML November 29, 9 a.m. ó 5 p.m. PST A hands-on class that guides you through the basics of XML.

Communications Training & Learning Center! Experience the leap into Flash 5ís
new drawing and productivity features, not to mention its powerfully enhanced
programming abilities. This beginners course will get you started in Flash 5 with
a strong foundation in drawing, animation and programming skills. Along with your
skills, youíll walk away with a clear understanding of animation and how to make
it work on your website. Registration Fee: $695 DECEMBER Designing & Optimizing Graphics with Adobe Photoshop and Image Ready December 5-6, 9 a.m. ó 5 p.m. PST In this hands-on class, youíll learn to create quality images and fast downloads
from photos, print materials, logo files, electronic clip art or type to set. Youíll
use Photoshop 5.5ís Save for Web option and learn when to use JPEG vs. GIF, how to
select quality levels for JPEGs, how to add transparency and many options for GIF
