November 14, 2000--Portland, OR--Douglas Freeman, of Ideascape, Inc., has won a 2000 Aegis Award for an 8-minute video for the Mississippi Power Company, based in Gulfport, Miss. The Aegis Awards are one of the video industry's premier competitions for peer recognition of outstanding video productions and non-network TV commercials.

"Mississippi Power's 75^th Anniversary" was recognized for its outstanding script writing in the category of "documentary" videos by a distinguished panel of judges representing industry professionals from around the country.

The video was created as an entertaining and educational presentation for numerous corporate celebrations throughout the year around Mississippi Power's service region. It includes historical footage covering the evolution of the company along with background and interviews on recent developments.

The video was researched and written by Douglas Freeman. It was produced and directed by Katie Savage, of Mississippi Power.
