Getting Started In Technical Communications

Join the Willamette Valley Chapter of the Society for Technical Communications and Portland State University's Center for Excellence in Writing for a half-day seminar that will get you started in a lucrative and interesting career.

  • Are you a good writer, able to hit deadlines and make yourself understood?

  • Are you curious about computer technology and interested in working in the industry?

An experienced and entertaining lineup of speakers will show you what technical communicators do, the manuals and documentation they produce, the tools used on a daily basis, plus provide resume, interviewing and portfolio advice and discuss career and educational opportunities in the local area.

If you've thought about technical writing as a first career choice or a next career, you owe it to yourself to attend.

Speakers include:

  • Maralee Sautter, president, STC Willamette Valley Chapter
