As we begin the New Year, STC’s membership drive is in progress. An STC membership offers many benefits:

The official membership renewal deadline is December 31, 2011. However, STC allows people to join or renew their memberships throughout the year and will prorate the fees.
For students moving into the professional membership levels, STC created the “New Technical Communication Professional” level to encourage new technical communicators to join and become involved in STC.
In order to vote in the STC 2012 election, new memberships and renewals must be completed by February 29, 2012. (By the way, STC Fellow and WVC Senior Member, John Hedtke, is on the ballot running for a position on the STC Nominating Committee.)
