Here in the Willamette Valley, we have a number
of programs that address the professional needs of technical
communicators. Both Portland State University and Portland
Community College offer certification programs and other
relevant classes.
The Department of Technical Communication at
the University of Washington (UW) now offers its Winter Quarter
Speakers Series, Special Topics in Usability, via the web in
streaming video! This series offers 10 nationally renowned speakers
and professionals talking about current issues in usability testing. Click

in courses dealing with Technical Writing, XML Authoring, Usability,
and Information Design. All courses provide extensive instructor
support, interaction, practical hands on experience, and certification.

STC Members are eligible for a 15% discount

Our chapter promotes your professional growth
